Ask: When do we cut and run… from the stock market?

I just posted a question on ask.mefi that I’m hoping will get some action:

“So, we’re in a recession. At what point should we pull our investments out of the stock market?”

Privatizing social security isn’t looking like it was such a great idea after all, eh, G-dub?
